Dialed In
Dialed In is a Rogue-Like Match-3 game that takes inspiration from games like Balatro, Bejeweled, Candy Crush, and Paper Mario: The Origami King. That last one may throw some people for a loop, but the twisting dial system in Paper Mario: The Origami King really struck me as great puzzle design. I’ve adapted it in this game to act as the primary mechanic for a Match-3 style game with Balatro-like scoring and ‘jokers’. All of this is created using my own code in Unity C#. The plan is to continue working on this project and eventually get it complete enough to release on Mobile and Steam! No playable demo yet, but I should have a full game loop in the coming weeks. In the meantime, feel free to watch this video where I explain the mechanics. Stay tuned for updates!
Dialed In gameplay basic explanation.
Panic Before the Storm is a fun little rage game that takes inspiration from Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy and QWOP. This was made by myself and my friend Rick Kalavitis for the Brackey’s 2024.2 week long Game Jam. The theme was ‘Calm Before the Storm’ and we didn’t have time between our full time jobs to make something substantial. We decided on a physics based rage game where the player has to navigate through a maze of annoying things to get to their storm shelter. We used Unity C# to code it and made it a playable WebGL application all in a week. Feel free to try it out by clicking the image below!
Panic Before the Storm
In Reprise is a simple puzzle game where the player can record movement and then rewind that movement to solve puzzles. My friend Rick Kalavitis and I came up with the concept in 2020 during the 2020.2 Brackey’s Game Jam where we placed quite favorably! The theme was Rewind, and we took that literally. We knocked out this gem in about a week and it was a ton of fun. We got it all working in Unity C# and published with WebGL. You can play the game by clicking the image below!
